Non-defective Items Authorization must be received prior to returning equipment.  Unauthorized returns will be returned to the sender at their own expense. Refurbished items may be returned within 30 days of the invoice date in their original condition.  Contact our team to request authorization for your return and we will assist you with instructions and answer any questions you may have.  The original packaging and all items included in the original shipment must be returned.  There is a 10% restocking fee on refurbished non-defective items. New items may be returned within 30 days of the invoice date.  There is a 25% restocking fee on any new item which the original packing/seals have been compromised.  A 10% restocking fee will apply to any new equipment returned in its original, sealed packaging.  Please do not write directly on the original box/packaging Shipping costs (both original and return shipment) will not be refunded. Where do you get your equipment? Our inventory of new and refurbished equipment comes from working environments and organizations that are liquidating their assets or upgrading to newer systems. We also buy back many parts from our existing customers. What type of warranty do you offer? We offer a three year warranty on all our equipment sold to end users and a 90 day warranty to other resellers.  If you have an issue with your equipment, we will work with our Cisco certified technicians to guide you through a solution.  If we are unable to resolve the issue over the phone we will provide a replacement, repair the equipment or refund the purchase price.  Please see our  Warranty  page  for more details. All returned items must have an RMA number.  Please contact us to request an RMA number.  You will need the original order number and serial number to initiate the RMA process. What is your refurbishment process? When we receive a product, we first ensure the item is genuine.  The number of counterfeit items has significantly decreased over the past few years but it is something we take very seriously.  If we do find a counterfeit item, it is destroyed. Once an item is confirmed as genuine, a physical inspection is performed.  We look for physical defects or damage; circuit boards are examined to ensure all capacitors and resistors are intact.  Internal and external serials are checked. After the physical inspection is complete, the item will undergo performance testing.  Performance testing is unique to each piece of equipment.  On a switch for example; diagnostics are run and recorded, all ports are checked and test data is transmitted.   Any data will then be wiped and the configuration is set to factory defaults.  A test sheet is then attached to the equipment.  Power supplies are tested at full load.  Hot swappable cards and modules are tested for full functionality. Our state of the art laboratory is well equipped and we are always adding more equipment but if we don’t have the proper equipment we will borrow it, purchase it or outsource the testing. Once the item has passed testing, any minor, exterior, cosmetic defects will be repaired.  We will repaint or refinish items to restore them to their original condition.  Any dust is removed from the interior of the item.  The item is then inventoried and ready to be shipped. Do you offer products with ‘clean’ serials? A ‘clean’ serial means the product is not under contract for support with the original manufacturer (i.e SMARTnet from Cisco).  This is  not   an indication of the quality or condition of an item.  We may have an item with a ‘clean’ serial.  Please contact our team  prior to purchase if you require this status.  What types of organizations buy from you? How can I track my shipment? What are the differences between ‘pre-owned’, ‘refurbished’ and ‘used’ equipment? These terms are thrown around frequently in the industry.  We only sell refurbished equipment.  For us, refurbished equipment may have been in a production environment or it may be new/open box equipment.  Regardless, any refurbished equipment we sell has been through our thorough testing and refurbishment process and we guarantee it will perform to the original manufacture’s specifications.  Please see our  Refurbishment Process  page for more details. What does ‘new/open box’ and ’new/in box’ mean?
